Krishana Phoschem Limited (KPL), A unit of Ostwal Group of Industries (OGI), has announced a pivotal achievement underscoring its commitment to sustainable manufacturing and India’s energy transition. The company successfully secured a substantial, long-term supply of Green Ammonia in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) Landmark Green Ammonia Reverse Auction (SIGHT Scheme, Mode-2A Tranche-I), conducted in August 2025. This strategic victory marks one of Indiaβs largest wins under the scheme for the OGI group, with the supply being secured from NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. Specifically, KPL has locked in a supply of 70,000 Metric Tonnes (0.7 Lakh MT) of Green Ammonia per annum through a crucial 10-year long-term supply agreement. This environmentally significant project is designated for immediate utilization at KPL’s manufacturing plant in Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh. This move strategically accelerates the decarbonization of KPL’s industrial processes, particularly in the fertilizer sector, solidifying the company’s leadership in adopting cleaner, more sustainable production practices that align with the national Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
